Bessie L Elder

Bessie Lina Elder 101 years old, of Dunn North Carolina entered her heavenly home early Sunday morning January 20,2019. She was born to the late Frank Mc Koy and Lina Burnett Mc Koy, in Dunn North Carolina on December 24, 1917. Bessie attended Harnett County School Systems. She worked hard as a domestic worker, along with farming in Benson, North Carolina.  She met her beloved late husband Paul Edward Elder, while working for Mrs. Denny’s in Benson North Carolina. Bessie took pride in quilting, raising chickens and loved cooking. She was known for her delicious homemade biscuits. She was a compassionate loving woman who never met a stranger and loved her family dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Elder, her parents, two children Annie Joyce McNeill and Forest Elder. Bessie leaves to cherish her memories; five sons :John Elder of Fayetteville NC, Robert Elder(Betty) of Dunn, NC,   Alton ”Curly” Elder of  Dunn ,NC, Ivan C Elder(Gloria) of Godwin, NC, Cubby Paul Elder(Delois) of Dunn, NC,  four daughters : Ruby Mae Robinson (William deceased) of Dunn, NC, Grace Mc Neill (Peter) of Dunn, NC, Florine Royal (Bill) of Dunn, NC, and     Rubie Oates (Milton) of Faison, NC; a host of  grand, great grand, and great great grandchildren along with grand nephews and  nieces.
