Billie Jean (Barnstricker) Edge

Our loving, sweet mother, Billie Jean Edge (Barnstricker), 71, of Hope Mills, NC, was called home to be with our lord and savior on June 11th, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years Claude E Edge, their cat Purry, two daughters who loved her unmeasurably; Sharon Foutz and husband Chuck Foutz, who she thought of as a son, and daughter Darlene Brennan (Edge), four grandchildren who adored her; Chucky Jr, Becky and husband Mikey, Joshua and wife Ashley, and Dustin and wife Marilyn and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father WIlliam A Barnstricker and mother Dorthy Kelly (Hammond). Her only sibling, Linda Anderson (Barnstricker), had lost contact with her several years ago. Billie graduated from Allegheny College. She worked several years with Citi bank as a customer service manager. She loved and enjoyed spending time with her family; more than anything in the world she loved being a mother and wife. Billie enjoyed reading her bible, painting, especially landscapes, and crocheting. She crocheted baby blankets for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren, she was working on one for her newest great granddaughter before she passed away. She enjoyed sewing and making costumes, she liked to bake and made her youngest daughter's wedding cake and one of her grandson’s wedding cake. She made many birthday cakes and special occasion cakes that not only looked good but tasted good. She enjoyed writing stories and poetry and even had a few published. This sweet lovely lady will be missed by so many. Our comfort comes from knowing she is in heaven with our lord. She was a Roman Catholic and received her last rights as requested. Our hearts are full of love, our eyes full of tears, but we know she is out of pain and enjoying heaven with our loved ones who have gone before her.
