Effie Jean Mc Koy

Effie Jean Mc Koy died peacefully at Betsy Johnson Hospital Dunn, North Carolina Friday morning August 14,2020  Effie was born in Maxton North Carolina to Ms. Lula Bell Buie on January 30, 1946. She attended school in the Maxton School System. She settled to Dunn, North Carolina as a Migrant Worker, later she developed her own business in Domestic Housekeeping. Ms. Effie was well known in Dunn for her housekeeping business. She met her lifelong partner Mr. Samuel Williams in Dunn North Carolina where they continued to live. She is survived by Samuel Williams her loving and dedicated companion, her only son John Mc Koy (Sharon) of Frisco, Texas, Eight Grandchildren,Angus John Crawford( Rebecca),of Pembroke, NC, Jeremiah Mc Koy, Angie McKoy, of Red Springs, NC, Maurice Mckoy, of Durham, NC, Daniel Hundley, Of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Kathryn Husted(Zachary) of Princeton, Texas,  eleven Great Grandchildren and a host relatives and friends. There will be a home going memorial service 11:30 am Thursday August 20, at Family Funeral and Cremation Services Dunn, NC, followed by the interment service at Rest Heaven Cemetery Dunn North Carolina.
