Gregory Phillip Stewart (Diddy), of Roseboro, North Carolina entered eternal rest on Wednesday morning January 13, 2021in Fayetteville North Carolina. Gregory was born on April 11,1986 to in Newburgh, New York to Vernell Stewart and Deborah Phillips where he also attended elementary school. Greg moved to North Carolina at 10yrs old with his mother sister and niece. Greg attended Roseboro Salemburg Middle School and Lakewood High School, Gregory later went to Fayetteville Tech. in Fayetteville for Construction Technology graduated with a carpentry and pluming certificate. Gregory worked as a Construction worker helped build the widening and bridges of Hwy 24 from Clinton to Fayetteville, NC and the new Bus Station in Fayetteville, NC. Gregory was one who loved his children. Preceded in death is his Great Grand Mother Evelyn Aponte, Great Grand Father Justo Aponte, and his Great Uncle Jerry Patrick. Left to Cherish his memories Is his three boys Gregory Stewart Sellers, of Clear Run Garland, NC, Elijah Richard Chasten and Zaire Speights. of Fayetteville, NC. Three daughters Temia Sellers, of Clear Run Garland, NC, Elonnie and his newborn daughter Speights of Fayetteville, NC. His father Vernell Stewart of Jamaica, WI, Mother Deborah Aponte Phillips of Roseboro, NC, originally from Peekskill, NY. Two grandmothers Mrs. Ina Dunchie, of Jamaica, WI, Rev Elder Jeannette Phillips, of Peekskill, NY. A grandfather Rev. Howard L Phillips. Two Brothers Sabasca Stewart, of NJ, Pauleon Howard Phillips of Peekskill, NY, a stepbrother troy Cromiate of Garland, NC, three sisters Suzanne Stewart of Jamaica, WI, Jameela Leonard of Fayetteville, NC, Naomi B Robinson Of Roseboro, NC, nephew Niyabenghi D Lamb, of Roseboro, niece Evelyn A Leonard. A host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. Gregory was loved by all who knew him. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Dunn, NC.
