Our beloved Henretta Smith 98 of Benson, NC, died peacefully on May 27, 2017 at Liberty Commons Rehab & Nursing Center of Benson NC.  She was a Loving Sister, and Aunt.  She was born to the late Lyn Smith and Rossie Mc Neil Smith on September 10, 1918 in Erwin, North Carolina.

 She attended Elementary, and middle school in Erwin NC. She worked as a Farmer, and loved to plant gardens.  She was a member of Kyles Chapel AME Zion Church of Benson for years. She was an active resident of Liberty Commons Rehab & Nursing Center for 6 plus.  

Aunt Retta was the oldest of three sisters, and one brother all who have preceded in death by her:  Elizabeth S. Smith sister, and husband Patrick Smith, Corina S. Smith, sister and husband James Henry Smith, Elijah Smith Sr. brother, and wife Callie Smith, and Cary S. Graham sister, and husband John Walter Graham.

 Left to cherish (Aunt Retta) memories are her two Niece’s Swandora Coleman, and Elizabeth Smith both of Benson NC, who also where her primary caretakers. She is survived by seven other Nieces, and Nephews, a host of great nieces and nephews, great, great nieces, and nephews, and great, great, great nieces, and nephews, along with other relatives and friends.
