Lawanda Terrel Clegg Jenkins was born on January 05, 1978 in Harnett County, North Carolina to Pastor Linda Raines and Rev. John Marshall Clegg. God called her home peacefully on Sunday January 06, 2019.Lawanda loved to sing. At a young age she started singing in the church choir. Throughout her life she was known for singing gospel songs.Lawanda was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Alice Jannie Ruth Merchison and Wille James Merchison and also by her paternal grandparents Pearl Clegg and Johnnie Clegg.Lawanda is survived by: her daughter, Elizabeth McNeill, two son: Alexander McNeill and Jeremiah Moore, all of the home.  Her special friend David Moore; her parents Pastor Linda Raines, of the home; Rev. John Marshall and Margerite Clegg, ( step-mother) of Godwin, NC, two sisters Annie Field of Durant, OKla, and Tomkima Brown of Indianapolis, In; two brothers Eric Clegg (Monique), John Clegg Jr (Melissa) and step-brother Steven Strain; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, cusins,and friends. Public viewing and services will be at Family Funeral Home Dunn,NC.Public Viewing will on  Friday January 11, 2019 from 11 Am to 1 Pm, followed by the funeral service at 1 Pm.Internment service will be held at Rest Haven Cemetery Dunn, NC.
