Lloyd Ather Coats

 Mr. Lloyd Ather Coats of Erwin, North Carolina died peacefully Sunday morning November 29,2020, at Johnson Better Care, Dunn, NC. Lloyd was born in Harnett County to the late John William Coats and Dora Elese Strickland Coats. He attended Elementary and High School in the Erwin School System. Lloyd after graduating from Erwin High School enlisted in US Airforce, shortly after he joined union in marriage to Patricia Watson Coats of Dunn, NC. He maintained a military career for20yrs. As a Veteran he worked as a Postman at the US Postal Service in Erwin, NC, where he retired from.  Lloyd is preceded in death by his father John William Coats, mother Dora Elese Strickland Coats, a half-brother and half-sisters. Left to cherish his memories is his wife Mrs. Patricia Watson Coats, one daughter Patricia Lynn Roberts, two sons Kenneth Coats and Sean Coats, a sister Judy Ziegler, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends. There will be a private family memorial gathering to be announced by the family at a later time.
