Mrs. Pattie Halsey Holley, age 76, peacefully departed this life and received her rest on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at Emerald Health and Rehab in Lillington, NC. Mrs. Holley was born March 24, 1946, in Edenton, NC, to the late Daniel Andrew Halsey and Beatrice Gilliam. She is preceded in death by her sister, Beatrice Halsey Telford. Pattie lived most of her life in Edenton, NC until August 2021 when her failing health continued to decline. At that time, she moved to Raleigh, NC and later to Lillington, NC to live with/be near her family. She was blessed to be able to spend that time with them until her passing. She is survived by: husband - Walter Raleigh Holley of Lillington, NC; daughter - Vanessa Holley Carter (Darin) of Erwin, NC; stepdaughter – Classie Ann Johnson (Bill) of Raleigh, NC; brother - Daniel Andrew Halsey, Jr. (Janet) of Dacula, GA; half-sister - Rose Hawkins Cooper (Alfred) of Edenton, NC; two brothers-in-law – David Telford of Anderson, SC and Theodore Roosevelt Holley (Edessa) of Edenton, NC; two sisters-in-law – Marie Holley White of Edenton, NC, and Pauline Holley Wilson of Hobbsville, NC; five nieces - Darlene Halsey Fennell of Upper Marlborough, MD, Annette Halsey Montgomery (Annanias) of Raleigh, NC, Tanya Dionne Jean-Baptiste (Dysarth) of Hinesville, GA, Tawona Sharene Richard of Midway, GA, and LaToya Innocent (Schneider) of Dacula, GA; five nephews - Carl Ed Telford (Diane) of Anderson, SC, Jade Isador Richard of Midway, GA, Daniel Andrew Halsey, III of Waycross, GA, Dwayne Adrian Halsey (Kenyatta) of Ludowici, GA, and Marcus Hawkins of Edenton, NC; four grandchildren - Timothy Eugene Johnson, Jr. of Erwin, NC, Christian Lamar Johnson of Raleigh, NC, Thomasina Nicole Johnson of Raleigh, NC, and Tiffany Willette Johnson of Raleigh, NC; and a host of other family members that include a great grandchild, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and in-laws. A private memorial/celebration of life gathering for her family and loved ones will be held later in her honor.
