Pauleon Howard Phillips

Pauleon Howard Phillips (Paul) of Peekskill, New York died in his Newark, New Jersey home October 17, 2022. Paul was born on May 21,1969 to the late Napoléon Terry and Deborah Phillips in Peekskill, NY where he attended primary and secondary schools. He played football for the Peekskill Red Devils and Graduated from Peekskill High School. He attended Boces Technology School Yorktown, NY for culinary arts, later Paul entered the United Sates Army. After his military service he turned home and served for 13plus years in the department of corrections for New York State. Paul began living in Middletown, NY where he achieved his 5 th degree black belt in jujitsu. He Taught at Mountain storm Bushido Ryu Jujitsu in Peekskill for 3 years. Paul retired from corrections and moved to Atlanta, Georgia. It was in Atlanta he became interested in the medical field of health, he became a Certified Nursing Assistant and then furthering he’s career as a Medical Assistant. Paul enjoyed working for clinics, labs, and medical office, especially when at his new job at Newark Community Health Center. Paul was one that really “love the Lord could sing and preach God’s word.” His growing up years at Part St. A.M.E. Zion church made that evident. Preceded in death is His father Napoléon Terry, his brother Gregory Stewart and great grandmother Evelyn Aponte. Jeannette J Phillips)Peekskill, NY two sisters      Jameela Afifa Leonard NY,NY, Naomi Beverly Robinson Roseboro, NC, a niece Evelyn Hinnant(Maliquie Hinnant) Raleigh, NC, Sgt Niyabenghi D Lamb Camp lejeune Jacksonville, NC. three uncles Anthony k Phillips Peekskill, NY, Kenneth A Phillips (Glenetta Phillips) Peekskill NY, Lorenzo Aponte Bronx, NY and two aunts Dr. Althea L Phillips (Rodrick Williams) South Chesterfield, VA and Elizabeth L Phillips Peekskill, NY. and a host of nieces, nephews family and friends.
