Ralphaeus Ashbert Sterling was born November 27, 1940 in Maypen, Jamaica to Mr. & Mrs. Zedwoten & Naomi Sterling who has proceeded him in death. In 1988 he married his wife of 30 years, Gloria M. Sterling in Ontario, Canada. They moved to Durham, NC where they resided until his and her health began to decline. He worked at Wal-Mart in Raleigh, NC for several years. His last job was at the airport with American Airlines until he retired. He had hobbies of writing novels and art. He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Gloria Sterling of Dunn, NC; three brothers; Pastor Ezra N. Sterling of Pikesville, MD, Jake Sterling of Canada, and Nashbert Sterling of Jamaica. Three sisters, Merlene Ward of Canada, Tryphena Sterling and Tina S. Appleby of Jamaica. Two step children, Bertina B. Outlar of Louisburg, NC and Eddie D. Barbee of Raleigh, NC. Six grands. A host of nieces and nephew in-laws, relatives and friends.Funeral Arrangements are as follows: there will be a public viewing at 1 pm on Friday June 29, 2018 at Family Funeral and Cremation Services LLC, 302 Spring Branch Rd, Dunn, North Carolina.
