Shahera Franetta Stephens

  Miss Shahera “Sha” Franetta Stephens of Portsmouth, VA, died Tuesday February  2, 2021 at Kindred Hospital Greensboro, North Carolina. She   was a caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She gained her wings on February 2, 2021 at the age of 43. She was born to  Frank and Joyce Stephens on March 14, 1977 in Portsmouth, Virginia. She is  predeceased by her nephew Xavier and grandfather Charles Massey.She graduated from I.C Norcom High in June 1995. She went to Tidewater Community College where she received her Associates’ Degree in Information Technology. During her years she worked at Lillington University Nursing Home.“ Sha” never looked for praises and wasn’t one to boast but she just went on quietly working and caring for the ones she loved. Her dreams were seldom spoken and wants were very few. Most of the time her worries went unspoken. She walked with her head up high, cheerful, and could bring laughter to any occasion. The love that she had for her family was real and she was loved by those that knew her. Shahera’s laugh and smile was her trademark. She was a faithful member of New Mount Vernon Baptist Church Portsmouth Va. and Jesus was always front and center to her. Shahera leaves to cherish her memories Her parents, Frank and Joyce Stephens, grand mother Jessie Bell Massey, a sister Chiquita Stephens, two nieces  Antoinette Norwood and Brittany Stephens, great nieces, Gabriel Norwood, and Brianna Stephens a great Nephew, Garry Norwood III. She also leaves to cherish her memory with a host of family and friends. Shahera would say “Christ is the Superior and will answer the question of your tears ”We leave a prayer to all, Love one another and know that God is never wrong in his decision. We LOVE you all!  The Stephens Family  Funeral Arrangements are entrusted to Family Funeral and Cremation Services of Dunn, NC. There will be a public viewing on Sunday 9am- 11am, February 7, 2021 at Family Funeral Home Dunn, NC. Funeral services will be on Monday February 8,2021 viewing 10am -11am, funeral service at 11:00 am followed by interment at Rest Haven Cemetery  Dunn, NC.
