Troy Lynn Dickens, 47, went home to be with the lord on Tuesday, September 19th, 2023. Some may know him as “Troy Boy” or “All Day Everyday Dickens”. He was born on March 8th, 1976 in Sanford, NC to Roy (Lee) Dickens and Hazel Womack. Troy leaves behind his two daughters, Hayley Shaw and husband Noah of Dunn and Chelsea Dickens of Sanford; and a son, Jeffery Chase Dickens of Sanford. Sisters, Terry Dickens and Kimberly Cameron and husband Dave; brother, Lee Lashmit and wife Jesse; former wives, Felicia Dickens and Amy Dickens. Within the last couple of months, Troy overcame many of the struggles he faced most of his life. He became a resident of the Dunn Hope Center and started attending The Journey. As a result, Troy accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and his life was radically changed. He was able to restore relationships, belong to a church family, and receive the blessing of brotherhood with other Hope Residents. Troy finished well. The Celebration of Life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 4 at The Journey in Dunn. In lieu of flowers, donations for Hope Center Ministries can be mailed to The Journey, PO Box 30, Dunn, NC 28335. Please memo Dunn Hope Center.
