Wendie Dale Tart
July 16, 1974 – November 4, 2025
Wendie Dale Tart, 51, of Plainview North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, at Valley Hospice House in Fayetteville, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 16, 1974, at Betsy Johnson Hospital in Dunn, where she resided her entire life. Wendie was the beloved daughter of the late Velda Sue Bass and Arlie Darl Tart. She was preceded in death by both parents and her brother, Richard Cook and uncle Doug Tart. She is survived by her three children, Jessie Boykin, Karlie Boykin, and Amberly Radford; all of Dunn Nc and two cherished grandchildren, Ambriah Haven Radford and Jaislyn Dream Radford. And Aiden and Lila Boykin who she loved like grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings, Tina Tart Torres of Dunn, Mary Ann Johnson (William)of Virginia, Candy Tart (Greg) of meadow nc and James Tart (Jan ) of Sanford Nc and step sister Francis Norris (Tony) and her former husband and father of her children, Billy Boykin and wife Tiffany who she had a special bond with. And special friend Rex Lockamy several nieces and nephews. A proud graduate of Midway High School in Newton Grove, Class of 1992, Wendie was honored as both Homecoming Queen and Prom Queen. She later attended Johnston Community College, where she earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She devoted her career to caring for others with compassion and dedication. Wendie will be remembered for her kind heart, her loyalty to her friends and family, and her joyful spirit. She loved riding her four-wheeler, playing sports, working on puzzles, spending time surrounded by those she loved, and singing karaoke. Her favorite music—by LeAnn Rimes, Kenny Rogers, and Merle Haggard—brought her great joy and peace throughout her life.
